Is there a limit for how long you should be able to reasonably leave the watch immobile before it stops?
Poor lubrication can make the automatic winding less effective and sticky oils would also let the movements stop a lot earlier. Mechanical watches require a service after 10 years or so. Maybe your Breitlings need a proper review, cleaning and new lubrication?
