But, what is the best method to buff off scratches from a Rolex sub-c clasp and making it look satin/close to factory as possible? It will later get more scratches (e.g. clasp). I know some Rolex owners hardly wear it because they are scared of scratching it as it will devalue it. That kind of defeats it's purpose of owning one but not wearing it to really appreciate it.

I don't like scratches getting on my clasp, but it's going to happen if you wear it. To be honest, i enjoy using one of my scratch removal pads and spending 30 minutes or so removing them. I know it's weird, but i find it theraputic. ;-) You can try a Cape Cod polishing cloth. That usually will get rid of minor scratches. But it WILL get scratched just like your car, sooner or later, and there's nothing you can do about it. Just wear it, enjoy it, and send it in to Rolex every 5-7 years for a service and it will come back looking brand new.

The PCL clasp is going to scuff like that all the time, but there is an easy solution: Go to Amazon, buy a tin of Cape Cod Cloths and some blue painters tape. Apply the tape to the brushed left/right sides of the clasp. I sold my GMT2 a few months back, and thought the dealer was going to complain about the scratches. He didn't even paid attention to it. So I really don't worry. For a dealer they will probably just polish it anyway before they resell it. My Sub is 38 years old and I love every scratch and ding.I have micro scratches on the clasp of my two tone sub, but I think it's part of the experience
