The existing 2-button stereo footswitch (part # 03054360) is used in the "Channel/Boost" jack.This is Peavey's recommended replacement footswitch for my early '90s Bandit (teal stripe/Sheffield). Switch 1 toggles between the clean & distortion channels, and switch 2 turns the (global) reveb on & off.

As soon as I hit the power switch on the OTHER amp, there were a loud "swish" from the Classic 30's reverb!

Hi all, I just got a Line6 Helix LT and want to use it's external amp channel switch (TRS jack) to change channels on my Classic 30. Problem is, I can't get it to work. Looking at the schematic, it may be possible to add an led to the channel select. The reverb would be a lot tougher - probably need a battery and a different switch. The boost function is local to the front panel switch. Hi, I'm looking for a Peavey classic 30 boost switch and channel select switch. Where can I find them? What are they called? I don't Know their name and dimensions. I made a foot switch and getting the it to switch from clean to OD channel only requires an Push-on/Push-off switch, not a momentary switch. the cord I used was a two strand cord,.
If I remember correctly those amps switch by a FET IC or Transistor. Unless the switch feels defetive (like it's loose or coming apart) you probably have an electronic problem. I have a Peavey Classic 30 combo amp (tubed). There's a channel switch button on the amp that is meant to toggle between the clean and distortion channels. However when I attempt to toggle from clean to distorted, I get no distortion.
