Introduced my DH to Hermes ties and he has masses now, usually with toning/matching puffs. It's a lot easier buying ties than scarves IMO. Good luck on your hunt! No one makes geometric tie patterns and fabrics like Hermes, but 7cm ties .

Instead of searching for replicas, try finding gently used ones on ebay. Filter out by color and price and make sure you brush up on the standard hallmarks of a real Hermes tie (video from Gentlemen's Gazette is great)). Admittedly they don't look as good on the website, but take a few minutes to swing by in person and you'll see what I'm talking about. If it were up to me, I'd stick to Hermes, conservative repp dot and regimental ties (a la J.Press, Harvie & Hudson, Drake's), and knit and grenadine ties exclusively.
